Seahawks QB Russell Wilson isn’t sure if former Tennessee QB Peyton Manning played his final game during Super Bowl 50 on Sunday night, but he’s not leaving anything to chance.
The former North Carolina State and Wisconsin QB, who helped the Seahawks defeat Manning in the Super Bowl just two years earlier, penned a letter to Manning that was posted to The Players’ Tribune following the Broncos’ victory.
It is titled “If this is it”, and it goes through many of the reasons that Wilson respects Manning, and includes a picture of a young Wilson attending one of Manning’s football camps as a high schooler.
You inspired me to work hard. To be disciplined. To be respectful. To take notes.
You inspired me to love the process. To love the sweat. To love the tears.
But most of all …
You inspired me to love the game.

If Manning does decide to call it a career, there’s a good chance that more players, coaches and fans will come forward with tributes to the incredibly popular future Hall of Famer.
