Shelly Fairchild has solidified herself in the Nashville songwriting community, yet the Jackson, Mississippi native has endured her share of ups and downs.

Her debut album, Ride, containing the song “You Don’t Lie Here Anymore,” introduced fans to her vocal acumen. Outside of her own songwriting and recording, Shelly has sung background vocals for superstars such as Jason Aldean, Martina McBride, Eric Church, and Crystal Gayle.

Having proven she’s not afraid to confront and conquer challenging issues, Shelly is a champion for many issues that are near and dear to her heart. “I’m grateful for so many things in my life, both the good and bad,” Fairchild noted. Everyone I’ve worked with over the past 20 years has contributed to my success.”

In addition to penning songs for herself, Shelly writes and records soundtracks for advertising, television, and movie scores. “Made to Shine” was featured in Microsoft’s “It’s Her: Celebrating IWD and Women’s History Month” campaign. “Faster Than a Bullet” made the Valor soundtrack, and “Get You Back” was featured in Grey’s Anatomy.

In 2017 Shelly Fairchild achieved another milestone when she married her wife, Deborah DeLoach, in an enchanted ceremony in Colorado. The couple resides in Nashville, supporting each other in their successful careers.
