If you are planning a “girls’ weekend,” the magical village of Leiper’s Fork, TN offers amazing shopping, food, and music.
Located just 10 miles of downtown Franklin, this village underwent a revitalization over the last two decades that’s made it a sought-after destination for locals and tourists alike.
First Day
Check into one of four properties by Pot N’ Kettle Cottages. Samatha Coghlan and her husband, Eric, fell in love with Leiper’s Fork on a visit and decided it was the perfect place to raise their two boys. Options range from the four-bedroom/four-bath to a smaller, two-bed/one-bath homes that are within a short walk to shops and restaurants.

Head to Leiper’s Creek Gallery to peruse artwork from local and regional artists. Cindy, the owner, helps guests select perfect pieces to spice up home walls.

Venture to a small log structure called Tennessee Turquoise Company to find jewelry treasures. If the blonde lady with the warm smile behind the counter looks like someone seen at a Chris Stapleton concert. It’s because his wife, Morgane, is the owner. And yes, she also tours and sings with her husband!
Dining at 1892 Restaurant could be a new culinary highlight. Dylan Morrison transitioned from a career in music to training with some of Atlanta’s top chefs. His culinary skills allow him to create some of the best dishes in Middle Tennessee. Dylan’s “farm-to-table” style ensures he uses only the freshest ingredients from local sources; the menu includes New York Strip and melt-in-your-mouth scallops. Plus, the rustic feel of the restaurant’s interior resembles some built around 1892, thus, how the restaurant got its name.
Afterward, stroll over to Puckett’s Grocery to gather around the large fire pit on the patio. One might look over and see Kidd Rock chatting with Justin Timberlake, Wynonna Judd, Sheryl Crow, or American Picker’s Mike Wolfe chatting with locals.
Second Day
The first stop is RedByrd Coffee, located next to the Leiper’s Fork Market, for coffee and a delicious breakfast sandwich. After fueling up, shop at David Arms Gallery for artwork and great gifts for men.
Venture next door to Copper Fox Gallery to discover a range of mostly American-made furniture, pottery, and textiles.
Alexandria Cirimelli, the owner of Serenite Maison, came to Leiper’s Fork years ago to fulfill her dream of opening an antique and gift shop. She’s an accomplished decorator with a forte for locating “hard-to-find items for clients.

Check out Moo Country. Dawn Ann Ritter, a former international Ford Agency model relocated from Montana to open a store featuring handcrafted, one-of-a-kind apparel and jewelry.
For lunch, head to Country Boy Restaurant, a spot known for its meat-n-three dishes, sandwiches, salads, and homemade desserts.
Make a mid-afternoon appointment at The Spa at Leiper’s Fork for top-level services, including pedicures, facials, massages, waxes, and tints.
Puckett’s Grocery started serving the residents of Leiper’s Fork in 1953 and locals still gather daily to catch up on local news. Owner Rob Robinson not only chops wood and cooks delicious barbecue every day, but he also fronts his own band, Heavy Drunk. They’ve recently released a new album and are a regional favorite.
Puckett’s books top country, rock, and Americana talent every Friday and Saturday night. On Thursday evenings, Open Mic night showcases talent featuring some of Nashville’s up-and-coming and top singer/songwriters.
Third-Day
The surrounding areas of Leipers Fork offer trails, such as the Natchez Trace Parkway, to enjoy scenic views.
