Cooking and Songwriting Offer Creative Outlets

After completing his culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando, FL, Chef Josh began his career as an Executive Sous Chef. He worked at several venues in Louisville, KY, and Nashville, TN, learning his craft. He catered for multiple private events for music, sports, and film industry professionals. While he was working at several upscale restaurants in Nashville, Josh also pursued his passion for songwriting and can play several stringed instruments. Josh credits his passion for cooking in part to his passion for bluegrass and country music.

“Creativity comes in many forms and I believe creating a unique dish is similar to songwriting,” Chef Josh mentioned before our Southern Americana podcast episode. “Both start from an idea and can evolve into an artform that soothes the soul. Well, my food creations will hopefully create a joyful emotion on your palate too.”

In 2016 Chef Josh, his wife Natasia, and their three children moved to Florida’s Emerald Coast along the 30a corridor. He soon began working as a private chef before opening his own business. Based on his heavy workload, it appears the move created a unique opportunity to cater to the increasing number of foodies moving to the 30a area.

A four-course private dinner for up to eight adults is only $100 per person and that includes the food. For 9-14 adults, the price is only $90 per person. Special events such as beach gatherings, seafood boils and oyster parties are also available. I cannot recommend Chef Josh and Take It Personal Chef Service enough.

Chef Josh and I recorded this episode in a gourmet kitchen in the Wild Heron community near Rosemary Beach, FL. In addition to our conversation about the culinary and music industries, he perpared three tasty appetizers for our group. All of which are amazing!
